GLAMORGIRL TAKES YOU TO THE 2011 AVN AWARDS

(Las Vegas, Nevada) - On January 8th, 2011, the adult industry's best and bright joined together at the Palms Pearl concert theatre for the second year to celebrate their achievements and award the best of the best in adult for their efforts in 2010. The evening's entertainment was provided by DJ Nino who kept the party rolling with a nice mix of old favorites and ultra-current dance beats and the Speaker Junkies who later performed after a brief glitch.

Host comedienne "Queen of Mean" Lisa Lampenelli kicked things off with some edgy humor before introducing the AVN Awards co-hosts, stunning beauties, Riley Steele and Tori Black who guided the show through-out the evening. The industry's biggest names then paraded across the stage for the next two hours announcing nominees and welcoming the winner to the stage to accept their awards from trophy girls Chanel Preston and Madlyn Marie.

Lampenelli provided intermittent comedy relief between major awards and video clips like "Tron Jeremy" with perennial porn favorite Ron Jeremy entertained the crowd. The category of Best 3D Release had the nominees announced via a 3D video presention for which attendees were advised to don their previously distributed 3D glasses.

The highlight of the evening was a heartfelt speech by John Stagliano concerning his recent acquittal on obscenity charges while accepting the Reuben Sturman Award for contributions to the cause of free speech. The big winners of the night were Gracie Glam who won the coveted Best New Starlet award, Wicked Pictures who took the Best Feature and Best Director awards for 'Speed' and Vivid Entertainment who brought home the trophy for Best Renting and Selling Title of the Year and Best Parody - Comedy for 'Batman XXX: A Porn Parody.'
