TALI DE'MAR AND ANGELA SOMMERS CROWNED AT THE EXOTIC DANCER INVITATIONAL WEST
(Los Angeles, Calif.) -Three nights of packed crowds at Spearmint Rhino's Dames n’ Games L.A. greeted the 12 competing entertainers in the Showgirl and Newcomer Divisions of the inaugural ED Invitational West Contest April 10-12. When it was over, only two of those entertainers wore the respective crowns for Showgirl Champion and Newcomer Champion. For the Newcomers, Blonde bombshell Angela Sommers took the title of Champion, while redheaded burlesque queen Tali De’Mar wowed the crowds and the judges to take the crown in an extremely competitive Showgirl Division. “I'm so excited to be back on the circuit and blown away by my recent win!” said Tali.
Produced by ED (EXOTIC DANCER) Publications, the EDI contest will be held twice a year. once in the West and once in the East, with the winners filling the four nominee slots for the ED’s “Overall Feature Entertainer of the Year” Award given out at the ED Awards in Las Vegas each year.
“Each one of our 12 EDI competitors brought an incredible show and proved why they deserved to be invited to this selective, invitation-only dance contest,” says the EDI Producer & Founder, Dave Manack. Manack is also the Associate Publisher for ED Publications.
Former two-time ED’s Entertainer of the Year nominee Tali De’Mar made a huge splash in her first club appearance in almost three years. Her burlesque-style shows proved to be a huge hit with the EDI judges which included GlamorGirl publisher Rich Hansen, Spearmint Rhino's 2014 Entertainer of the year/April 2014 GlamorGirl covergirl Asia Kim and members of the retro 80's glam rock cover band Steel Panther. The contest was emceed by Tony Batman of A Entertainment.
In the Newcomer Division Phoenix Phires was the first Runner-Up and Remy LaCroix second Runner-Up. Christina Aguchi took first runner up in the Showgirl division.
Other competitors inclded Phoenix Phires, Jaded Dawn, Artemis Moon, Shay Lynn, Darling Danika, Cali Rose and Cheyenne Jewel.
