Ghislaine Maxwell Denied $28.5M Bail In Sex Crime Case
(New York, New York) - A judge has rejected a $28.5 million proposed bail package for Jeffrey Epstein's former girlfriend, saying her incarceration is necessary to ensure she faces trial on charges she recruited teenage girls for Epstein to sexually abuse. Ghislaine Maxwell, who was arrested in New Hampshire on July 2, has pleaded not guilty in the case. She is due to stand trial next year.
