(New York, New York) - Donald Trump on Friday lost his effort to be allowed to countersue and seek financial damages from the writer E. Jean Carroll, who accuses him of raping her years ago in a New York City department store. The judge Lewis Kaplan said that delaying the case further would prejudice Carroll's right to have her claims tried in court. A countersuit could have been filed 14 months ago, Kaplan wrote.
