Pope Told By Student To Stop Using Anti-LGBTQ Words
(Vatican City) - A student from the Philippines challenged Pope Francis to refrain from using offensive antigay rhetoric and slurs, citing the immense pain it causes among the LGBTQ+ community. Jack Lorenz Acebedo Rivera expressed during an online video panel with other Catholic university students and the Pope that slurs cause "immense pain." Rivera also requested that the Pope "allow divorce in the Philippines."
