Trump Avoids Prison Time, Fines For NY Felony Conviction
(New York, New York) - Donald Trump received a no-penalty sentence in his New York hush money case Friday after the Supreme Court refused to intervene. Trump is the first president to have been sentenced for a criminal conviction once he's sworn into office. He was convicted in May of falsifying records related to hush money that his then-attorney Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels in the closing days of the 2016 election.
