E. Jean Carroll Receives $5 Million Payment From Trump
(New York, New York) - Writer E. Jean Carroll, who sued Donald Trump over claims of sexual abuse and defamation, has received more than $5 million as part of a civil judgment paid by Trump. Funds totaling more than $5.62 million have been transferred to Carroll. A jury determined in 2023 that Trump was liable for sexually abusing Carroll, a former Elle magazine columnist, in the dressing room of a Manhattan department store in the 1990s.
